SHOCKING: Man Crushes His 7-Month-Old Son To Death By Kneeling On Him
Cornelio Rodriguez-Gonzalez
A father in Nevada, was arrested for the brutal death of his son.
Police in Las Vegas, arrested 23-year-old Cornelio Rodriguez-Gonzalez for the murder after he admitted to
killing his 7-month-old son.
Police responded to a call about a baby who was not responsive. Police arrived to the home, which Rodriguez-Gonzalez shared with his girlfriend, their baby Raymond, and two other children of his girlfriend.
Rodriguez-Gonzalez was home watching the kids while his girlfriend, Amy Elliot, was at work.
During lunch, when Elliot called to check on her children, Rodriguez-Gonzalez informed her that earlier in the day, Raymond fell to the floor, but was asleep in his bed at the moment.
While still on the phone with Elliot, she demanded Rodriguez-Gonzalez to check on Raymond. He found him unresponsive and called 911.
Raymond was rushed to University Medical Center, where he died of his injuries. Doctors found rib fractures, a lacerated liver, bruises on his face and hip, and scratches on the back of the head.
This latest injury is the likely cause of death, according to the Clark County coroner’s office.
Two days later, Rodriguez-Gonzalez turned himself in to police. He admitted that he had lied about Raymond’s fall, and said that he was angry with the child, who was being fussy.
Rodriguez-Gonzalez told police that he kneeled on the child, putting all his weight on the chest of his son.
Rodriguez-Gonzalez was arrested and is being held in the Clark County Detention Center without bail.
