Governor Okorocha Seeks Second Term, Promises Continuity
The Imo State Governor, Rochas Okorocha, has promised all Imo citizens that if elected into office for the second time, there would be total consolidation and continuity of his rescue mission agenda.
Governor Okorocha also promised to ensure he took the state to an enviable height through his developmental programmes. The Governor made the promises at the Sam Mbakwe Airport in Owerri, the Imo State capital, upon his return to the state after the All Progressives Congress’ presidential primaries held in Lagos State.
Governor Okorocha lost the election to General Muhammudu Buhari, who was elected as the Presidential Candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Candidate in the primary election held on Thursday.
He said his participation at the APC’s presidential primaries was to give the Igbo race a sense of belonging in national politics.
“I am very pleased to be home. I have gone to make my mark at the national primary. As it stands today, it is on record that somebody from this part of the country contested in that election.
“We shall continue with the rescue mission agenda and we are insisting that Imo should be better than it is now.
“In the next four years the world should come and celebrate Imo State as the best state in the Federal Republic of Nigeria,” Governor Okorocha said.
I trust you Rochas
