Gunshots have escalated with
indiscriminate shooting and razing of major structures. Several explosions have
also gone off across the town. The Local Government Secretariat and Federal
Government College, among others, are currently on fire.
Casualty figure cannot be determined at this time as gunfire is
currently ongoing.
A detachment of the armed attackers are currently on the fringes
of Ashaka town at the moment. The Nigerian Soldiers are however, currently
engaging the Bandits with air support from the Nigerian Air Force.
Everyone is advised to proceed with caution around these areas.
