SCORES FEARED DEAD IN BOMB BLAST NEAR EMIRS PALACE IN KANO
An unidentified number of people have been killed following a car bomb explosion near the Emir’s palace jumaat mosque in Kano, north-west Nigeria.
Although information is sketchy at the moment, a spokesman for the Joint Task Force, Captain Ikechukwu Eze, confirmed the explosion.
An eyewitness also told Channels Television that two cars exploded on a nearby road while jumaat prayer was about to begin on Friday.
“The vehicles were parked along the road very close to Qadriya House which is opposite the mosque. People died but I don’t know how many,” an eyewitness said.
